Are there Angel here on earth?

Lisa Face Timed me today in pain. Later she called to tell me, as we both cried, that Shawn and Brother Bruer came to give her a blessing. As we talked I told her about a couple of experiences we had this week. We haven’t been able to drive this month. Elder Hawks went to get groceries at the commissary.

He could hardly get off the military bus he had so many bags. A soldier helped him off the bus, and then helped him carry the groceries a half a mile home. Elder Hawks and I went to Osan to help the youth deliver cookies to the singles and the unaccompanied. When we left the house we didn’t realize it would be pouring down rain. 

It took us an hour and a half to walk, and take a couple of buses to get there. After delivering cookies, we were drenched. We got to the bus station in Osan to return to Camp Humphrey’s. I had a delightful visit with a wife of a soldier. I was dreading the half hour wait for the next bus ride once we got to camp Humphrey’s, and the half a mile walk home in the rain. We said our good byes to my new friend once we returned Camp Humphrey’s. She asked, “How are you getting home?” Hearing my reply, she said, “Oh no you aren’t! We’ll give you a ride home.” Her husband gave us a ride home in his warm dry car! 

Yesterday the Elders and the Sisters met us at the subway station, to help us on our 4-hour trip to the mission home and back after the Christmas Party. It was a long 13-hour day. I thought with so many earthy Angels all around us, how can I feel bad being so far from home over the Holiday Season. Yes, there are Angels here on earth!
