Meeting with Camp Humphrey’s Chaplin
A couple of weeks ago we were invited to meet with the
Religious leaders in this area on Camp Humphrey’s. There are major changes some
of our Army post here in Korea.
They are moving most of the military from two of the
Seoul post to Camp Humphrey’s. In the next 2 to 5 years there will be 44, 000
people, on this post. That will include military, families, and workers. Everywhere you look there is constructions.
This base will be the size of Washington D.C., making it the largest military base in Asia. The land belongs to Korea, and Korea is paying for 95% of the buildings.
There are four large churches. The new B.X. is the size on a very large Walmart. The Commissary is also going to be huge! It will be like having an American City in the middle of Korea.
The Chaplin believes our Humphrey’s
Branch will be over five hundred members.

Sounds like the military and the church are growing in Korea. Wishing you and Dan a very Merry Christmas. Love you!
