Our First Seoul Temple Trip September
3rd
It takes us about two hours to get to the Temple, so the first time we went to the Temple, we stayed at a Hotel in
Seoul.
It was two weeks after we got to Korea. I won't go
into the whole trip, but it was kind of hit and miss! Most of the popular
sights in Seoul, are in the Seoul Mission, we are in the South Seoul Mission.
So when we make our monthly mission trip, we try to see a few of the sights. We
did a lot of walking to nowhere. After our car came off the elevator, there wasn’t even enough room to turn the car so they drive it on to a metal round thing that turns your car to the right direction. Of course we made a couple of wrong turns and the GPS had to recalculate. There were no parking places left, so we had to park at the chapel down the little street. It is weird!
The GPS led us up these narrow unattractive streets, you almost wonder if the GPS is more broken than you thought. You turn the corner and right in front of your eyes is a little bit of Heaven. It’s home away from home.
When we entered the temple, the Temple President welcomed us. He wanted to know about our mission, and how we were doing. Once in the dressing room I wasn't sure where to go. I stood waiting in the wrong place. A sister from our Osan branch asked me if I would take one of her family names.

I don't understand this car elavator part. It sounds very otherworld.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a chapel here in the Kona Temple either. We just go into the endowment room where the session starts. I guess small temples are like that. But, grateful to have a temple here!
